Cloud security startup Averlon Inc. launches today with $8 million in new funding to power its artificial intelligence-powered cloud security platform, improve threat prediction and neutralization, and expand capabilities announced that it had procured.
Founded in 2022, Averlon provides a cybersecurity platform designed to prevent malicious attacks. The company’s platform uses AI technology to counter AI-driven attacks and provides visibility into all cloud assets, including network access, connectivity, software, and policies.
The platform aims to address the rapidly growing problem of AI-powered attacks, which Avalon says are now outpacing traditional defenses. The company says chief information security officers and their teams are now being asked to think like attackers and predict how to break into cloud assets, a task that is difficult to do with traditional tools. claims.
Unlike traditional tools, which are said to flood teams with reactive alerts while missing the real root cause, Averlon’s AI-powered platform targets specific targets that pave the way for real-world attacks. Pinpoint cloud security issues. Customers can onboard a cloud environment and have a clear understanding of their security risks and where to focus their attention within minutes of installation.
Under the hood, Aberlon uses AI technology to “foster cyberattacks to counter cyberattacks.” The platform provides what Aberlon calls “panoramic visibility” into all cloud assets while continuously analyzing vulnerabilities to predict and neutralize attacks. The proactive approach gives teams a complete view of threats, allowing them to eliminate them with surgical fixes.
“As cyberattacks become more sophisticated, it’s critical for businesses to predict where and how attackers will strike,” said Sunil Gottumukkala, co-founder and CEO of Salesforce, who previously served as senior vice president of cybersecurity at the company. “The reality is, most CISOs feel unprepared for today’s threats.”
Security teams are bombarded with a flood of alerts every day, “leading to reactive security measures that leave them overwhelmed and unsure of where to focus. Averlon solves this challenge, giving customers a holistic way to understand, predict and prevent cloud security attacks,” he added.
Voyager Capital Partners LLC led the seed round, with participation from Salesforce Ventures LLC and Outpost Ventures LP. Including the new funding, Averlon has raised $10.5 million to date.
